Ministry at La Fuente started through meeting the physical need of the locals. Open air street evangelism, kid’s clubs, and free breakfast feeding for the children were a few of the tools we used to reach out to Tepic, starting with one neighborhood at a time.
As the numbers have grown at La Fuente, so have the ministries. Below are some of the ways we minister in Tepic.
La Fuente Ministries has now grown to “mother” additional mission church plants in surrounding neighborhoods and villages. Each site has an appointed pastor and staff hosting weekly activities. Tuesday evenings are spent playing with the children and providing a small Bible lesson, a service is held every Friday night with staff and participating members of the neighborhood, and Saturday mornings a free breakfast is provided.
For information on a specific mission chruch check under the Ministries tab on this web site.
The Youth of La Fuente meet every Saturday evening for powerful worship and message. Jesiah Dwight Hansen serves as youth pastor for over 150 spirited youth. The youth group is always participating in exciting activities such as the annual camp, retreats, rallies, traditional Mexican parties, and open air evangelism.
Since the greatest among us is the servant of all our your and visiting teams enjoy serving our community and simply giving away the love of God. Some of the creative ways we minister are washing car windshields, cleaning neighbors yards, shining shoes, and even washing dogs all for free; no strings attached.
Pastor Joni and his wife Nency have developed an outstanding team of Sunday School teachers that present a solid Bible curriculum for over 250 faithful children every Wednesday and Sunday service. Summer’s Vacation Bible School is a large, annual event anticipated by over 300 children.
Lead by Pastor Josué and Elizabeth Garcia, this ministry includes weekly marriage classes, marriage retreats, foundation classes, and caring for many small groups that help promote spiritual growth.
Another affective way we are able to reach out to Tepic, Mexico is YOU! We host on an average of 15 Short-Term Mission (STM) teams from all over The United States, Mexico, Canada, and Norway. Each team is a tool to help build bridges and relationships with new people all over the city. There are several opportunities for you and your team to get involved as seen in the above ministries.
