Once again we have a new look and better layout for our English web site. Please visit www.lafuentemin.com for the latest news and information on our ministry.
Our youth sent a team of fifty people to three different areas of Mexico. They spent 25 hours on the bus to get to Hermosillo and then most of them came back to help in all kinds of different ministries here in the church. It has been amazing to see these young people so on fire for the Lord.
With nine churches planted we want to try to highlight one each time we write. About 30 minutes from Tepic is the town of Puga. A sugar cane factory dominates the skyline of this poor town with narrow streets. We bought a hall for dances and parties and converted it into a church. Over a year ago Jonathan and Sarah Huerta became the pastors. With services on Tuesdays and Sundays the church has become grounded and effective. On the hill above Puga sits an Indian village where the team goes each week and is now opening a Bible study. The Puga church has become a mission outpost helping the poorest of the poor and shinning the light of the gospel. For more information and pictures of Puga Click Here
We thought once our kids turned 18 we could turn over some responsibility, then we started Nana’s House and we are mom and dad again. We have never seen quicker change and growth in people like the girls in Nana’s House. After such change in their lives some are moving on. Two were adopted by Mexican families and we are sad to see them go but happy to fulfill our part in their lives. Please pray for the girls. Rebecca is one busy girl. She was in Chicago for three weeks and returned in time to do the tour with our youth group. She will continue to work on the Bible School staff and help host mission teams. Jesiah and Mimi are leading the youth, a worship team, the video department and Mimi serves the Bible School staff. They are very busy and fruitful. Mary Jo and I are grateful for the opportunity to oversee this ministry and for all the work it entails.
Our personal support is a constant point of prayer. We are still missionaries and look to God and our supporters to meet the needs each month. Please pray about what you can give and thank you for your help.
