Helping the Poor

Helping the Poor

Matthew 25:35 & 40

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me… I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”

The heart of La Fuente Ministries is reaching out to the needy, imprisoned, sick, orphaned, widowed, and broken-hearted. That is the reason La Fuente has started the Mercy Proyect. We bring Jesus to the lost by feeding the hungry and helping the needy.

Donations are a vital part of the Mercy Project. We glady accept donations from companies and individuals. We encourage any donations outside of Mexico to be cash (due to customs issues). We are excited to see the mexican goverment getting more involved. They have provided blankets in the past and they have promised kitchen supplies in the future.

Who do we give to?

Missions: La Fuente has established Mission Churches in poor areas used to provide community services along with the Word of God. As of this moment we have three Mission Churches in operation and one that is currently being planted.

New Missions: A team goes into a neighborhood on a short term basis looking for the next location to plant a Mission Church.

Needy Neighborhoods: People from the Mercy Project team go and scout out new places and find their biggest needs.

What do we give?

Basic grocery bags, blankets, clothes, shoes, candy, toys, higienic products, etc. We also provide feeding programs where we take a portable stove and cook for the people on location. From time to time we have medical clinics with doctors providing free consultations and medicine.

Who does the giving?

Organized teams from La Fuente, short term mission teams, and Bible School students (Vanguardia).
