A Great Spring
Lines of people surrounding La Fuente, waiting patiently for an event to start, pretty much describes what our spring has been like.
Over one thousand children packed out the church to see, Extreme Kids, in concert. Extreme Kids is a group out of Texas that does concerts focused on teaching children how to worship in an exciting and creative way. They sang a song called, I am a Princess, which quickly became a hit here in La Fuente.
Then, we hosted a youth conference that is known throughout Mexico and a thousand-two-hundred youth crammed into our building. Hundreds worshiped and gave their lives to Jesus in these events. To top it all off, we did our annual conference for all of the sixteen La Fuente churches. We had eighteen power-packed meetings in five days. Everyone was filled to overflowing and made commitments to help plant churches. This annual gathering has become a vital part of La Fuente and we are already planning next year.
La Fuente Tijuana
We are excited to start working in Tijuana this year. Joshua and Julie Rice who have served 6 years in Tepic are in the process of moving to TJ. They are working with two existing churches a friend of ours planted and we are taking steps to form la Fuente north.
Nana's House
Nana’s House is producing great fruit. Mary Jo and the team have truly seen miracles. Friends donated money and we bought a 15-passenger van for the girls. Now, I have to paint it pink so, it will truly be a vehicle for a girl’s home.
We just heard a report in the news about thousands of children who have crossed the US border alone since January. When asked why, they said they want to go to school. Here in Nayarit attending school is not posible for many children. We are helping all the children we can enroll in school and soon we hope to be serving meals to them daily.
Rebecca is working in the office as an administrator and doing a great job and she loves it.
Jesiah and Mimi are busy running our youth ministries and leading worship. Jesiah will be traveling to Tijuana to preach at a conference next month.
